Values of the Week
Blake Bortles – $11,100 (@ BAL)
Over their last 2 games the Ravens have given up 576 passing yards and 5 passing touchdowns. Their defense is allowing opposing quarterbacks to have their way with them and Bortles is dealing to both Allen Hurns and Allen Robinson.
DeAngelo Williams – $12,600 (vs. CLE)
This is a week if you want a running back you will have to pay up for one. I don’t expect 41.5 points a week from DeAngelo, but he is going against the Browns this week and the Steelers will be leaning on the run with Landry Jones back in at quarterback. It is better to go with the chalk play here than miss out on the points.
*DeAngelo Williams was added to the injury report and missed practice on Tuesday due to a foot injury. Keep checking the injury report to see if he is going to play.*
Darren McFadden – $9,200 (@ TB)
Over the past 3 games Tampa Bay has surrendered 18 completed passes to running backs. With the full load McFadden is handling and the ability to catch passes out of the backfield make McFadden an elite play this week.
Karlos Williams – $7,200 (@ NYJ)
Williams has scored a touchdown in every game he has played in this season. The Jets are a great run defense, but the Bills will not stop pounding the ball. Karlos Williams is a great value play to try and get big named studs in your line-up.
Chris Givens – $6,400 (vs. JAX)
Kamar Aiken is a good cash game play at $9,000, but Chris Givens is a great GPP play. Going into the bye we were finally starting to see Givens and Flacco starting to hook up on deep plays. With Steve Smith out for the season Givens could win a lot of people some money!
Brandon LaFell – $8,100 (@ NYG)
Last week we finally started to see what LaFell was going to be doing in this offense and outproduced his $6,400 price-tag (5 receptions for 102 yards). Since I am paying down at wide receiver this week I will have a lot of line-ups with LaFell in them.
Eric Ebron – $6,400 (@ GB)
Ebron has turned from one of the least efficient players in 2014 to one of the most efficient players in 2015. Getting a match-up against the Packers who have given up an average of 8 receptions, 100 yards, and almost a touchdown a game over the last three weeks makes Ebron a solid play.
Players To Avoid
Jay Cutler – $10,200 (@ STL)
The Rams have been very good against opposing quarterbacks. While they have not faced elite competition over the past 3 weeks (Teddy Bridgewater, Colin Kaepernik, and Josh McCown). Going against the Rams defense is never easy and it is even worse when they are playing at home.
Doug Martin – $10,800 (vs. DAL)
The benching of Martin last week should be a wake up call that his leash isn’t as long as we would all like it to be. The Bucs running back touches will continue to be divided between Martin and Sims.
Antonio Brown – $17,100 (vs. CLE)
There was no one more sad Big Ben was injured than Antonio Brown. Putting up 17 receptions and 284 yards against the Raiders was amazing to watch. Now Ben Roethlisberger is down again and Brown will rank outside of my top 10 wide receivers until he comes back.
Jason Witten – $9,900 (@ TB)
As long as Matt Cassel is the quarterback in Big D I will recommend to stay away. Jason Witten hasn’t had a touchdown since week 1 when Tony Romo was still in and is being priced as a top three tight end.
Stacks of the Week
Kirk Cousins ($10,200) + Jordan Reed ($8,800) = $19,000 (vs NO)
Not only have the Saints given up 9 passing touchdowns over the last two weeks they also allowed Delanie Walker to post 7 receptions for 95 yards and two touchdowns in week 9.
Blake Bortles ($11,100) + Allen Robinson ($13,200) + Allen Hurns ($11,400) = $35,700 (@ BAL)
Last week the triple stack really paid off going after the Raiders and here is another cake match-up against the Ravens. The Ravens are still signing secondary help off the street. My biggest fear is the Jags will get up too big and stop throwing.
*Allen Hurns was in a walking boot on Monday due to a sprained left foot. Pay close attention to Sunday’s inactives to see is Hurns plays.*
