Building off a ridiculously young 6-Round core of Mike Evans, Brandin Cooks, and four 2015 rookie selections, the task for the middle rounds was to keep pounding away with the best player available.

I would have considered Smith here at 7.03, but with a lackluster board overall I stashed the 2.01 Rookie Pick, now having five of the top-13 selections in the rookie draft. Now the long way until late in Round 8 for my next selection. Plenty of young talent was sure to come off the board in this range….
